Petrocoque is a petrochemical industry that has been operating for 50 years in the production and marketing of calcined petroleum coke, as well as in the generation and sale of energy and steam.
Founded in 1972, Petrocoque is a leader in South America in the marketing and production of calcined petroleum coke. Its shareholding is equally composed of Petróleo Brasileiro S/A – Petrobras and Universal Empreendimentos Ltda.
At its industrial located in the city of Cubatão, State of São Paulo, Petrocoque has three calcining units for petroleum coke and a co-generation unit for electrical energy, inaugurated in March 2016.
Our coke production capacity is 550,000 tons per year, and our electrical energy generation capacity is up to 18MW. In terms of thermal energy (steam), we have a capacity of up to 1.3 million tons per year.
