The CPFL Energia Group seeks to ensure that during the development of its activities, the actions of its employees and third parties who may act in its interest or benefit are based on honesty, integrity, and legality.
To this end, the company has an Integrity Program that, besides being based on the Group’s values and principles, formalizes the commitment to conduct its business guided by integrity and by the highest Compliance parameters.
The Program is structured in four pillars:
Guidelines: maintenance and review of internal policies, standards, codes and procedures, compliance with current regulations and legislation and monitoring of CPFL's strategic planning.
Communication: training, management of the ethics channel, communication actions and awareness-raising and engagement campaigns for employees and thid-party companies.
Assessment: Due Diligence, investigations, advisory support to the business areas, compliance risk assessment and issuance of opinions.
Monitoring: definition and monitoring of compliance indicators, monitoring the topic as a corporate goal, presentations to the Ethical Conduct Committee, reports in executive forums, evaluation of practices by independent institutions and certifications.
Pro-Ethics Seal
The recognition is granted by the Ministry of Transparency and General Controllership of the Union (CGU) from Brazil to companies that stand out in the voluntary adoption of integrity measures and are committed to programming measures aimed at preventing, detecting and resolving acts of corruption and fraud.
In the 2020/2021 edition, 327 small, medium and large companies, in the most diverse fields of activity, signed up for the award. Of these, 236 sent the evaluation questionnaire duly completed and within the stipulated deadline. There was a highly careful evaluation process and 67 companies, including the CPFL Group, were recognized as a Pro-Ethical Company.
