How is your report
handled?

After it is received in the Whistleblower Channel, the report is analyzed by Contato Seguro professionals and, if confirmed as a “report”, it is classified and forwarded to Tramontina’s Ethics Committee for analysis and handling.

It is essential for the report to contain elements that allow for investigation. Thus, the irregularity needs to be described clearly, specifying what the irregularity is, the area in which the fact occurred or occurs, the author, when (or since when) it happened or has been happening, as well as names of people who may eventually help clarify the facts.

If the “report” demand is suitable for handling, if it contains a complete account of the facts that gave rise to the complaint, it is forwarded to the Tramontina Ethics Committee responsible for the investigation.

During the investigation, people indicated by those involved may be heard (person indicated as the author of the reported fact, witnesses, investigation team, managers and professionals directly linked to the process of handling the report).

Once the investigation is finished, Contato Seguro is informed of the result and then it informs the whistleblower about the closed demand.

Any Personal Data and Sensitive Personal Data eventually collected during the processing of the report will be used solely for its handling and is not intended for other purposes.

Personal Data and Sensitive Personal Data will be stored for as long as necessary to handle the report and for the purpose of complying with any legal, contractual and accountability obligations or request from competent authorities.

WHISTLEBLOWER PROTECTION

Reporting irregularities is a duty of Tramontina’s employees, and the company encourages the use of this Whistleblower Channel. Any acts that threaten or actually cause damage, in any way, to the authors of reports, violate Tramontina’s values and interests and will be treated as non-conformities. If the author of a report feels that he/she is suffering retaliation due to his/her submission, he/she must use this Whistleblower Channel and submit a retaliation complaint, in order to allow appropriate analysis of the situation.
