Data privacy regulations in some countries require that anyone who makes a report containing personal data be notified of certain collection and retention practices related to information submitted through this system, as well as consent to certain terms and conditions related to the information submitted by that person. Therefore, we ask you to read the terms contained in the notice below.
The Ethics Line website is a confidential online reporting system, operated by Contato Seguro and provided to Votorantim Cimentos to allow people to ask questions and report suspected violations of company policy or applicable laws and regulations. Use of the Ethics Line website is entirely voluntary. We encourage you to report possible violations directly to your manager, the Legal, Compliance, or HR Departments, depending on the nature of the possible violation. If you feel uncomfortable doing so, you can use the Ethics Line to make the report.
Please be aware that the information you provide about yourself and your colleagues, or any aspect of the company's operations, may result in decisions that affect other people. Therefore, we ask you to provide only information that, to the best of your knowledge, is correct and factual. You will not be subject to retaliation by Votorantim Cimentos for any report of suspected violations of law or the Code of Conduct made in good faith, even if it is later revealed to be incorrect. Be aware, however, that the intentional provision of false information will not be tolerated. Anonymous reporting is accepted, but we recommend that you identify yourself so that we can follow up on your case and address possible questions. In both situations, the information you send will be treated confidentially.
What type of information is collected?
The Ethics Line captures the following information: your name and contact details (if provided), any questions you may have, the name and position of all individuals mentioned in the report, and a description of the suspected violation of law or compliance, including all relevant facts and details.
How will the information be used?
The information you provide will be stored on servers hosted by Contato Seguro in Brazil. Unless otherwise required by applicable law, the information contained in the Ethics Line database may only be analyzed and used by individuals who need to access the data to complete their tasks. These individuals include responsible Votorantim Cimentos employees in the Ombudsman, Legal, Compliance, and HR departments, and when applicable, employees in audit and IT functions, external consultants of Votorantim Cimentos brought in to assist in the investigation of the report, and Contato Seguro's technical staff. These individuals may be located in Brazil or other countries where Votorantim Cimentos has operations. In addition, some or all of the information provided by you may be stored in Votorantim Cimentos' systems during the response to your question(s) or the investigation of a report.
Votorantim Cimentos will evaluate the information you provide and may conduct an investigation. Your cooperation and assistance in such an investigation may be necessary. If an investigation indicates that a violation of company policy or applicable law and regulations has occurred, Votorantim Cimentos will take appropriate measures according to the circumstances. Votorantim Cimentos treats the mere existence of a report and the entire process content of investigations as confidential, and they should not be mentioned or accessed, except by individuals authorized to act on the report.
Please note that, due to applicable laws, the individuals you identify through the Ethics Line website may be informed about the creation of a report. Votorantim Cimentos will prioritize confidentiality and will not reveal names or identities whenever possible.
Votorantim Cimentos will take appropriate technical, organizational, and legal measures to protect the information provided under the terms defined in the Privacy Policy available on the Company's website and other internal guidelines on information security. Votorantim Cimentos also requires that Contato Seguro commit, under its full responsibility, to adequately protect all data it has access to, including but not limited to your personal data, and will not use it for unauthorized purposes.
